So what’s been going on in the online scene lately? A lot of online stores are being setup online since last year. From fashion oriented online store to online malls, we see a lot of them in the local online scene nowadays. It shows the improvement of Ecommerce over a year, which is tremendous. Just a year ago, online shopping was never highly considered option by the local online community. To them, it’s more of a risk than a convenience. It’s actually hard for an online store to entice people to buy from them, especially if customers have no background information about the online store. In the online scene, credibility and reliability is gold. If an online store has this reputation, it’s way easier for them to entice online customers to opt for online shopping instead of traditional offline shopping. Online shopping just started to get its recognition just last year.

By allowing this payment setup, it almost automatically erases the online woes that plagued the Ecommerce industry of the country for so long. Credit cards or Paypal account would not matter anymore since they can pay in cash. As we were all facing the online shopping scene in the past, the usual setup is that online stores require their customers to pay first online before they can actually finalize the order and have it shipped on the customer’s preferred address.

However, this is the reason why a lot of the online customers do not trust online stores. There is still a chance that they can be scammed online, which was the case for some. The good thing about Lazada online store is that they make sure that customers are fully aware of what they offer. Thru their C.O.D., it shows how much they are willing to take the risk just for the customers to try out their online shopping service. To them, they just want to make sure that Filipinos experience the best online shopping they can get. By allowing them to feel that customers have the advantage over the deal, it convinces them to try it out. Converting these first time customers to satisfied customers is their top priority. These satisfied customers then become a returning customer for them. I think it is only natural for them to start building their online relationship first to their local online customers. Once they get the trust and reliability from their current customers, it may help them in the online scene. Since these online customers can also help them thru word of mouth.
